Geeking out with Tate

The weather was bad, my hair looked like hell and my allergies were all flared up.  But that didn't stop me from having fun working and shopping at the makeup show.  Although I left my camera home both days (I blame the watery eyes from the allergies for obscuring my view of my foyer where I clearly left my camera so I can take it with me on the way out the door) I got to snag two pics of (and with) Tate from the First Season of "Face Off".  He was busy working so I didn't want to interrupt the first time I came around so I just took a pic of him working (thank you my dear Lisa for letting me jack your camera for these shots).

I was determined to chat with him, take a picture and compliment him on his amazing Zombie work (if you don't know by now I'm completely obsessed with zombies) so I came around a second time.  He was done working at that point so I decided to completely geek out and ask for a picture (plus he's a total hottie but that's a whole different blog haha).  Enjoy!

NEW Face Atelier Lip/Blush Tint & Ultra Matte Spray

As most of you may know, I worked the Face Atelier booth at The Makeup Show this month.  I was truly excited to work this year because FA launched TWO new products.  I knew that everyone was going to love them.  If you missed the show or didn't pick up the new items, you definitely must!  These things sold like hot cakes at the show (sorry if we sold out, they really are that amazing).  Let me tell you a little bit more about them.

::FACADE::
Just such a gorgeous lip/blush tint.  It's cream to powder but not like your usual powdery/chalky cream to powder.  This stuff goes on so smooth and it's silicone based.  The beautiful thing is, that unlike most cream to powder products (which set too fast and gives no room for blending therefore giving you that blotchy look), it takes a bit to set which works in our favor.  It lets you blend to your liking and it's completely build-able so apply as little or as much as you like.  Once FACADE sets, its just beautiful!

The Shades (5)

As Blush Tint
Use Alone or mix with other powder brushes.  I personally like to mix Arabesque with a dash of NARS Orgasm.  You can also mix with other FACADE colors.  Just because there's only 5 colors doesn't mean you get to have only 5 colors.

As Lip Tint
Use Alone or mix with any gloss.  The results are gorgeous!  I personally love Chameleon mixed with Flamingo Lip Glaze.

::ULTRA MATTE SPRAY::
If you do mostly film as I do, you'll just love this!  I mean don't get me wrong, this stuff is perfect for everyone but when you're filming you just can't jump in and powder like you do when you're in the middle of a photoshoot.  If your subject gets shiny while doing a scene, there is just nothing you can do till the director yells "CUT!"  This stuff just works!  Although it takes a bit of time to take effect (about 8 - 10 minutes), its just worth it.  Besides, by the time your actor gets on set, rehearses lines and chit chats, the spray's already set in.  Another thing this is wonderful for is bald heads!  Most of you know, bald heads are the most challenging to keep at bay from shine.  No more!  Spray this baby on and sit back and relax!

Great for:
Film, Bald heads, Weddings, Proms or anything you wan't to mattify.  Use it before or after makeup.  I personally like to use it after I'm done with makeup.  I like to work with the natural oils of the skin and the moisturizer applied.

Note:
This is for mattifying the face ONLY!  This is not a finishing/sealing spray.

Itching to Create

I was itching to do something creative since most of my work is clean beauty.  I thought I'd be rusty from not doing creatives in so long but I gotta say...not too shabby eh?
