Assisting the TLC Shoot

Assisting Deanna on the TLC shoot was the best assisting job I've had so far.  I'm usually not the type of person to be star struck (after all, I have been a makeup artist for so long that after a while the glam of meeting or seeing "stars" just eventually fades away) but I couldn't help but keep staring at Kat Von D occasionally.  I didn't really understand why.  She's just this tall, slim, beautiful woman, dressed in leather and platforms who is also a Tom Boy, is covered in tattoo's, looks and speaks tough, yet she's SUPER nice.

As the other Talent started rolling in I realized that everyone was just so down to earth and actually...kind of silly!  Since this was really my first encounter with such big talent, I was really taken aback as to how totally NORMAL they are.  But I'd have to say that out of all the talent (and there was A LOT of talent), I'd have to say that the Cake Boss family was my favorite.  They were such good sports (especially Buddy), so much fun on set and super funny.

It was quite an experience and I can't wait to do it again.

  1. I LOVE Cake Boss...so happy to hear they are nice otherwise it would ruin the show a bit for me.
